Saudade. This word, which emanates a sort of bittersweet kind of longing for things that haven’t happened yet, oozes nostalgia from every pore. And Lisbon, its Portuguese inhabitants and its way of life, exude poetry and saudade. You’ll see in their eyes, you’ll hear it in their voices, in their music. Lisbon is now experiencing a second Age of Discovery, as young creatives from all over Europe have been migrating to this once-slow town to set up their businesses and live a more care-free relaxed way of life in order to make art.
