The Plan:
From some of Milan’s most important gardens to Porta Venezia, this walking tour will make you discover an Art Noveau Milan that took form between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Starting from the architecture of buildings of that time, Giacomo from MilanoArte will take you for a journey back in time, where you’ll admire some of the most beautiful houses in the city and discover the stories of the Milan of the Belle Epoque. Everything will be planned for you: you'll meet up with your guide in one spot and be back at the same spot at the end of the tour. Should the participants be more than 8, you’ll be given a radio in order to listen to everything that will be said. You’ll receive a special personalised tote bag with water and a healthy juice, and we’ll be ready to go!
Your guide:
Giacomo Zavatteri is a doctor in Conservation of Cultural Heritage and has a huge love for history. Together with Antonella Fuga he co-founded MilanoArte, a project dedicated to architectural guided tours in Milan. Giacomo worked at the Handel House Museum in London, but his nostalgia for Milan and its cuisine brought him back home.
