Looking for an unusual vacation spot which differs from the usual trulli in Puglia? This 16th century convent, located on the outskirts of the village of Marittima di Diso, is half and hour’s drive from beautiful Lecce. The former convent is eclectically decorated with a series of objects which could’ve come out of a cabinet of curiosity, from moroccan carpets and first edition books, to exotic art and pottery, African sculptures and manuscripts. The six rooms all have their own individual style, detailed with handwoven Salentine bedspreads to thick, Welsh blankets in the colder months.
