Located in the 7th arrondissement and just a few steps away from the Louvre, the Hotel Thomieux is a maximalist’s dream. The 15 rooms available are eclectically decorated (we’re talking leopard print throws mixed in with 1960s wallpapers and velvet patterned carpets) and were designed and decorated by interior designer India Mahdavi, who is also known to have dressed the interiors of Sketch in London. Unmissable is also the two-Michelin star restaurant inside the hotel, headed by chef Sylvestre Wahid, who not only serves artful cuisine but also serves his food on equally imaginative ceramic plates, designed in collaboration with French potter Isabel Poupinel.
