Mater Bistrot

Mater is a bit of a French bistro, but it's also located in Via Sottocorno, behind Piazza Cinque Giornate, and fits perfectly well in its location. The bohemian attitude can be found in the details: the menu is read inside books of old Milanese poems, each diner has a different one. The menu is divided into dishes to be eaten with hands and dishes to be eaten with cutlery, in the perspective of sharing the kitchen with what is the real protagonist of Mater, its natural wine list. Because truthfully, Mater offers only natural wines from all over Italy and beyond, personally selected by Giuseppe and Salvatore, the owners of the place.
